  • March 8, 2018

Nick Cox left his position at JP Morgan Asset Management as global head of fixed income trading at the end of 2017, a spokesperson has confirmed. Amit Bhuchar replaced him as managing director, head of Fixed Income Trading & Business Initiatives within the Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities (GFICC) group. Based in New York, Bhuchar is responsible for GFICC's global trading activities as well as market structure initiatives.

Prior to this role, he served as the business manager of GFICC, overseeing US and international fixed income and currency investment activities, operations and product management. A JP Morgan employee since 2005, he was previously part of the Corporate & Investment Bank where he held Global Interest Rate Trading business management roles in London and New York and most recently was the head of Global Rates Electronic Trading and Market Strategy.

Before joining the firm, he was an auditor at Deloitte and Touche. Buchar holds a BSc in mathematics and management from King's College London.

Cox was named global head of Fixed Income Trading in 2014, having returned to the company from an eight-year stretch as the chief operations officer for Global Trading and Liquidity Strategies at BlackRock, and a year in emerging markets trading at BNP Paribas.

He was not available for comment, and his next move is not known.
