Drew Henriques, co-head of High Yield Municipal Trading, HilltopSecurities.
HilltopSecurities has named Drew Henriques co-head of High Yield Municipal Trading, having poached him from Citi. He had been a high yield municipal trader at Citi where he had worked since 2017.
Henriques has experience across the buy and sell side giving him breadth of insight into both trading and investment. In an earlier role as a municipal desk analyst at Citi. he had supported the muni sales and trading division with a focus on the high yield municipal sector with a portfolio including distressed state’s and local governments.
Prior to that Henriques had worked for JP Morgan as a vice president for municipal strategy, where he supported both investors and sales teams with updates on market developments and investment ideas.
Before JP Morgan he worked as an assistant portfolio manager at Kemper Corporation, and at Moodys as a municipal credit analyst.
HilltopSecurities has been building out its fixed income team significantly over the past quarter. In February it employed Brian Connery, formerly of Morgan Stanley, as director and municipal trader in its Fixed Income Capital Markets division in Dallas, and Brian Branigan joined its Fixed Income Capital Markets division in Memphis, Tennessee, as senior vice president of institutional sales from SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.
